PHOENIX RISING CONTEST!



Back at the beginning of the year I started a contest called PHOENIX RISING. I gave a big explanation about the myth of the phoenix and what I was looking for in the contest. I also revealed that 1st place GRAND PRIZE would to have the winners art tattooed on my back by none other than the incredible CHRIS GARVER of Miami Ink. That 1st place prize is still firm.

However, I've been very ill the last few months and have not put up the entries for the contest as I should have so that others could see who and what they were competing against. I am going to do that now. Remember this has to fit at the small of my back approximately 3 to 4 inches in height and the same in width. Your work will forever be advertised by me, a living model of your creation, and also by Chris Garver whose fame is world wide. Not just as a tattoo artist, but also as a fine artist. (Chris paints) Thats something HUGE you can add to your professional portfolio.

SO, in light of all this I would like to extend the contest till September 1st so that I can gather MORE prizes (I have a list that I need to post here) and remind everyone about the contest that suddenly went silent.

Below are the current entries for the contest in the order in which they have been received. They are all different in style and concept and all BEAUTIFUL. Now that you can see the other entries, perhaps your imaginations will be sparked! (not that the entries I have currently are not enough - THEY ROCK!!!) You can enter as many times as you like and it does NOT have to be a new work.

In the meantime, GOOGLE The Phoenix to get the story of this incredible, mythical creature and I will add to it here with my next update. I promise the updates will be often since I am still in bed recovering from all the things I talked about in my previous journal.

PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT THE "OLD MASTERS CONTEST" FOR TRADITIONAL ARTISTS!!!! INCREDIBLE IDEA AND SOMETHING I HOPE TO TAKE PART IN MYSELF. THEY DO NEED MORE PRIZE DONATIONS SO IF YOU CAN GIVE EVEN A JOURNAL FEATURE, I'M SURE IT WOULD BE WARMLY WELCOMED.
